Methods for installing window film

It is safer and more reasonable to work with at least two or more people at the same time when applying the film.

1. Cutting

Move the film onto the cutting pad according to the car film selected by the user. The film size should be 5CM larger than the original glass edge size to leave a margin when applying the film. Pay attention to the appropriate size of the film to avoid waste.

2. Cleaning the glass

The inner side of the glass is the film surface. It must be cleaned thoroughly and should be cleaned repeatedly according to the following requirements:

(1). First, lay a long towel on the ground at the construction location to avoid damaging the floor or paint during construction and to facilitate the placement of tools.

(2). Spray clean water on the glass, then touch it with your hands to check and remove slightly larger dust particles. For firmly adhered dirt and torn off sticker residue, you can use a glass scraper to remove it.

(3). Use a glass cleaning rubber scraper to remove dust from the glass from top to bottom and from the middle to both sides. After each scraping, you must use clean wax paper to remove dirt on the scraper. Each time you scrape the entire glass, you should spray it with clean water. Finally, use a plastic scraper to scrape away the accumulated water. Make sure that the glass is very smooth and clean and "spotless" before you can apply the window film.

Note:

Check the window glass carefully for hidden scratches. If any, explain the situation to the car owner and then proceed only after the owner's permission.

Do not touch any objects when applying the film. After positioning the film correctly, use a plastic scraper to scrape from the middle to both sides to remove internal bubbles and moisture. Check between the window film and the glass to ensure there are no bubbles or wrinkles, so that the film and glass are fully fitted. Clean the work site and the window film installation is completed.

3. Install window film

Due to the large surface area of the window film, two people should work together. Wash your hands thoroughly to avoid transferring dirt onto the film. To ensure quality and prevent dust, close all air vents at the worksite and avoid using air conditioning to maintain a relatively sealed working environment.

First, remove the protective film from the car film, spray the adhesive surface with clean water, then spray the entire window with clean water before installing the window film to the glass.
